Students work with professional equipment with an emphasis on how to duplicate these shots, effects, and films at home.

Finally, at the end of the last class, we encourage friends and family to come and see the films we have created.

Note: For returning students who might have done some of these effects before, we make a special effort to challenge them further.

Description: The Kids Filmmaking Workshop is designed for kids with filmmaking experience and a passion for creating movies.

Each session starts with students shooting and editing one mini project. Next, each kid writes and submits their own screenplay. Three of these scripts are selected and developed into film shoots. For each film, students are assigned cast and crew positions (director, assistant director, script supervisor, cinematographer, gaffer, sound, editor, and more) just like on a professional set.

With more time to shoot, the kids have all the advanced equipment in our studio at their disposal (e.g. cameras, lights, sound, dollys, jib, green screen, etc).

Additionally, the students edit the films using state-of-the-art Apple iMac computers and Final Cut Pro X, as they create special effects and cut together their own movies.

As always, at the end of the last class, we encourage friends and family to come and see the films we have created.

Prerequisite: Students must have previous class experience and be approved by the instructor.
